Light Grey bunny ear plush baby comforter with wooden ring

Bunny Ear Baby Comforter with Wooden Ring

£11.99
Colour

Opening

Two textures in one object. The body is a dimpled plush with long bunny ears, and fixed to it is a smooth, hard wooden ring — so a baby gripping it gets soft in one hand and solid in the other. The ring also gives an adult something to hold it by when passing it back from the front seat.

It is a small plush comforter rather than a woven square. The ears are long, flat and easy to grip, and the wooden ring is stitched into the seam rather than clipped on. At around 80g it is the lightest piece in the range.

What you get

One bunny ear comforter with its wooden ring, in the colour you select. Sold as a single piece, not a multipack — the colours in the gallery are the range to choose from, not a set.

Fabric and safety

  • Body and ears: dimpled polyester plush, sometimes sold as bubble or dot fleece
  • Filling: polyester
  • Ring: wood

This is a plush comforter, not a cotton one. Worth saying plainly, because the muslin pieces in this range behave differently: plush holds warmth against the skin where an open cotton weave lets air through. Choose the plush for a cold pram walk and the muslin for a warm room.

The point to check on arrival, and every few weeks after, is where the ring meets the fabric. A hard component attached to a soft toy should not shift, rotate loosely or show gapping stitches. If it does, stop using it rather than repairing it.

Intended for supervised use. The Lullaby Trust advises keeping the cot clear of loose items under twelve months, so this is for daytime handling and supervised play.

Fit notes

One size only. This is smaller and lighter than the muslin comforters in the range — closer to a pram toy in scale than to a blanket. If you are expecting something square that can be spread out, this is not that shape at all.

The raised dots catch light unevenly, so Light Grey and Pale Yellow in particular look softer in person than they do on screen.

Styling

Royal Blue and Teal are the strongest colours in the range and work where the rest of the nursery is neutral. Light Grey, White and Pale Yellow sit quietly alongside muslin squares and cotton textiles. Pairs naturally with a woven comforter — one plush, one cotton — covering both a cold pram walk and a warm room.

Care

Surface wash only. Sponge the plush with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then air dry away from radiators. Do not put it through the machine and do not soak it. The wooden ring is the reason: wood swells when it takes on water and the grain lifts as it dries, which loosens the stitching that holds it. That is the one thing on this piece that must not be allowed to work loose.

What is not included

Anything else in the photographs is styling only: blankets, baskets, wooden toys, dummies, clips, and any second comforter shown alongside the one photographed. Arrives without gift packaging.
