Design Features

Safety

• The maker publishes no age grading, so this is not suitable for a child under three. A charm of this size with a metal clip counts as a small part
• The metal heart charm is a small separate piece hanging from the scarf. It is the first thing to come off and the first thing a young child would put in their mouth
• A plush charm with play value can still fall under toy safety rules in the UK. Ask for an EN 71 report covering the finished charm, its clip, its scarf and its heart charm, before it is sold to any child
• The carabiner is sprung metal and is a pinch point for small fingers. It is decorative and should not be loaded with anything heavier than the charm
• The cord is a loop. Never put it, or the charm, around a neck or a wrist, and never attach it to a cot, a pram, a buggy or a car seat
• Check the join between the charm and its cord before every use, since that point takes the whole weight

Care

• Surface wash only, with a damp cloth and a mild detergent
• Do not machine wash, tumble dry or soak. The metal fittings will mark a wash drum and the filling holds water
• Take the scarf off before cleaning the body if it unties, and wash it separately by hand
• Air dry fully, away from direct heat
• Brush the flecked surface back into place once dry, and keep the metal charm and clip dry

Usage

• Clips onto a handbag, a rucksack, a school bag or a set of keys
• At 18 cm it is a statement charm rather than a discreet one, closer to a small soft toy than a keyring
• Three colours makes it straightforward to buy more than one without repeating
