Newborn Gift Box | Tassel Comforter, Socks and Brush
Opening
The brush is the reason to pick this one. A soft baby brush is something almost nobody buys for themselves and almost everybody uses, which makes it the piece in the box that gets remembered.
The comforter has a tasselled edge rather than a plain hem, which is what gives it something to pull at. Socks complete the set, and everything comes boxed in one colourway, ready to hand over without wrapping.
What you get
A boxed set in one colourway, containing a tassel-edged comforter, a pair of socks and a baby bath brush. The gallery images show the exact contents — worth a look before ordering if it is for a specific occasion.

Fabric and safety
Two pieces here want checking that a plain comforter would not.
- The tassels. A tassel is bundled loose thread by design, and loose thread is what to watch on anything a baby mouths. Check the binding at the top of each tassel on arrival and after every few washes, and trim or retire it if strands are working free.
- The brush. Check the bristles are held firmly before first use and periodically after. A bristle that pulls out is a small part, and the head is the part that takes the wear.
How the brush is dried decides how long it lasts. Leaving it in the bath, or standing it head-down in water, is what shortens its life — water sitting against the base of the bristles works them loose from the inside. Shake it out and stand it bristles-up after each use.
Intended for supervised use. The Lullaby Trust advises keeping the cot clear of loose items under twelve months, so the comforter belongs to daytime and supervised play.

Fit notes
The socks are the piece most likely to be outgrown first, so treat them as the shortest-lived part rather than a reason to size the set up. The comforter is one size and is a hold-and-carry object rather than a blanket.
The brush is the piece with the longest life in the box by a distance — it stays useful well past the point the socks stop fitting.
Styling
Khaki and Grey are the safe choices when you have not seen the nursery. Wine Red, Brick Red and Purple run deeper than the usual newborn palette and suit parents whose taste you know. This is the plainest of the boxed sets, with no character animal, which makes it the one to pick if you would rather give something that will not date.
Care
Take the brush out first and keep it out of the machine entirely — shake it, wipe the handle, and let it dry standing bristles-up. Machine wash the comforter and socks at 30°C on a gentle cycle with like colours, with the socks in a mesh bag. Dry flat or tumble low. Do not bleach. The box is card and is not washable.
What is not included
The gift box is included; additional wrapping, ribbon and a gift card are not. Toiletries, towels, clothing, baskets and anything else shown in the photographs beyond the set itself are styling only.
