A cream lamb with a curly coat and a lace collar

A soft cream lamb with a curly bouclé-style coat, pink inner ears, small tan horns and an embroidered face. It wears a white lace frill collar, which lifts it out of the ordinary soft-toy category and into something that works as a gift.

At roughly 35cm it sits comfortably in the arms of a toddler without being unwieldy, and it holds a sitting position on a shelf rather than slumping.

Fabric and filling

The coat is a curly polyester pile chosen to mimic fleece - it has enough texture to read as a lamb rather than a generic white toy, and it does not mat the way a longer straight pile does. The filling is polypropylene fibre, light and springy.

Measurements are approximate. Soft toys vary slightly depending on how the filling settles.

Where it works

A natural fit for a neutral nursery, a farm-animal themed room, or as a christening or new-baby gift where a cream toy suits better than a bright one.

Care

• Surface wash with a damp cloth and mild detergent
• Air dry away from direct heat and sunlight
• Do not bleach or tumble dry
• Brush the pile gently with a soft brush if it flattens

Safety

For supervised play. Keep soft items out of the cot while a baby is sleeping unattended, in line with Lullaby Trust safer sleep guidance. Check the seams from time to time and stop using it if anything works loose.
