A dressed bear is a different thing from a bare one. The outfit gives this teddy its character, and it is why this style is chosen as a present. Underneath is a traditional teddy in curled plush with a stitched muzzle. It is lightly filled, so it stays soft and floppy and gives when it is held. At 30cm it is a proper present that is still easy to post.

The clothing is cut for this bear and is not interchangeable with other toys. Allow a few centimetres either way on measurements.

Care

• Take the clothing off before cleaning
• Surface clean the bear with a damp cloth and mild detergent, dabbing rather than rubbing
• Hand wash the clothing in cool water and dry flat. Do not tumble dry either part.

Safety

• For supervised play. Before giving it to a child, pull gently on the eyes and nose and check the clothing for small fastenings.
• Keep soft toys out of the cot while a baby is sleeping. Check the seams from time to time and stop using it if anything works loose.
