Whiskered Bunny Baby Comforter | Printed Muslin
Opening
Most comforters come in a solid nursery colour, and most nurseries end up with three of them in slightly different shades of grey. This one is printed — leopard, lemon, dandelion, wheat ears, a rainbow — so it can be picked to suit a room that already has character, or chosen as a gift for someone whose taste you know.
Underneath the print it is a square of cotton gauze with a whiskered bunny head in one corner. The head is open at the base, so an adult hand fits inside and it works as a puppet for tummy time or a nappy change. The face is embroidered rather than applied.
What you get

Fabric and safety
- Body: printed cotton gauze
- Head: cotton outer, polyester filling
- Face: embroidered, not applied
The print sits on an open woven gauze rather than a flat cotton, which is why the colours read softer than the same pattern would on a poplin. The crinkle in the weave breaks the pattern up, so a bold design like Leopard or Red Rainbow comes out muted rather than graphic.
An embroidered face matters more than it sounds. Plastic safety eyes are the component most often checked on soft toys for under-threes, because a lens that works free is a small part in the wrong place. Here the eyes, nose and whiskers are stitched into the cloth — nothing on the surface to come off.
Intended for supervised use. The Lullaby Trust advises keeping the cot clear of loose items under twelve months.

Fit notes
One size only, and small by design — enough to bunch inside a fist, not enough to cover a baby. If you want something to spread over a pram, this is not it.
The fabric is cut from a continuous printed roll, so where the pattern falls shifts from piece to piece. On the small-scale prints this is barely visible; on Leopard, Bear Planet and Rainbow Rain no two are placed alike. Allow around 1cm variance on the measurements.
Styling
Ditsy Floral, Wheat Ear, Dandelion and Coffee Spot are the quiet ones, sitting alongside muslin squares and neutral nursery textiles without competing. Leopard, Red Rainbow, Lemon and Bear Planet are the ones to choose as a gift, where the print is the point and a plain grey would go unnoticed on the table.
Care
Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle with like colours, and wash the stronger prints separately for the first few cycles. Tumble dry low or dry flat. The gauze softens and crinkles further after the first wash. Do not bleach. Do not iron the head.
What is not included
Anything else in the photographs is styling only: blankets, baskets, wooden toys, dummies, clips, and any second comforter shown alongside the one photographed. Arrives without packaging.
